This study focuses on the use of information by politicians in Italian regions as support for decision-making processes and the performance of their institutional responsibilities. The study is the result of a collaboration between the Regional Public Accounts (RPA) System and the Department of Economics and Business of the University of Cagliari.

Study "Expenditure for Future Generations"

The aim of this study is to evaluate policies related to Spending for Future Generations (SFG) and to provide policy-makers, at both the European and national levels, with innovative tools to monitor and, if necessary, adjust public commitments toward the factors that most significantly influence balanced and sustainable long-term growth. In particular, the study allows for the comparison of the performance of different EU countries and Italian regions with respect to SFG and its key components. Through this approach, the study provides a reference framework to assess public spending policies, support evidence-based decision-making, and promote sustainable development at both national and regional levels.

Webinar “Data and Public Governance”

The "Data and Public Governance" webinar presents the collaboration between the Agency for Territorial Cohesion and Federica Web Learning, as well as the creation of a training programme aimed at guiding participants in exploring the world of data. Starting from more traditional sources, such as the National Statistical System (SISTAN), to more technologically advanced ones such as Big Data, the programme highlights how data influence everyday decision-making in public governance.
